2026 UMPIRE CLINICS (Mandatory) - GET GAME READY!
All clinics are held at the Calgary Soccer Centre
Attendance at the eligible clinic is mandatory for all umpires
Cost: $75 per umpire
Note: The fee covers a portion of the annual hats, shirts, ball-bag kits, and equipment costs.

Thu, Apr 16 — Online Rules Clinic “B” — 6:30 pm–8:30 pm
Thu, Apr 23 — Online Rules Clinic “C” — 6:30 pm–8:30 pm
1st Year Umpire Clinics (Mechanics)
Each clinic session is limited to 60 participants so we can keep the
kids engaged, well‑supervised, and actively involved.
Fewer participants mean more reps, more interaction
with instructors, and a better overall learning experience.
Sat, Apr 11 — Group 1: 9:00 am–12:30 pm; Group 2: 1:00 pm–4:30 pm
Sat, Apr 18 — Group 3: 9:00 am–12:30 pm; Group 4: 1:00 pm–4:30 pm
Sat, Apr 25 — Clinic Review — 9:00 am–11:00 am; 12:00 pm–2:00 pm; 2:30 pm–4:30 pm
Returning Umpire Clinics (Rules & Mechanics)
This clinic is geared toward the Minor and Major Divisions.
Each clinic session is limited to 90 participants.

Interlock Clinics (Evenings)
Note: Interlock clinics are for those eligible to umpire
Intermediate, Junior, and/or Senior level baseball.
Interlock umpires must attend a two-night clinic. Each clinic session is limited to 36 participants.

CORE UMPIRE DEVELOPMENT TEAM
The Core Umpire Development Team leads the planning and delivery of all District 8 umpire clinics and instructional programs. Team members are experienced umpires who have officiated at Canadian and/or World Little League Championships and provide training, mentorship, and practical instruction to support umpire development, performance, and readiness across all divisions.
The Core Umpire Development Team are:
Trevor Selanders, Dave Brown, Mark Alenius, Kevin Alenius, Dennis Vink, and Mike Korman.
We are also pleased that our most senior umpires, along with the Performance Umpire Development Group, will assist with clinic instruction and provide on-field mentorship to further support the development of our younger umpires.
